Dawn Nelson brings a unique perspective to the real estate business. She has been an entrepreneur for nearly 30 years. Her experience as a psychotherapist, coach and marketer help her establish rapport with people quickly, listen attentively, take the lead in problem solving and promote property in a highly competitive market. As a Realtor, Dawn’s primary objective is to guide you through your real estate transaction in a positive and beneficial way so that you naturally feel comfortable referring your friends and family to her.

She takes your business seriously. Her goal as a selling agent is to assess the market to determine the right price for your home and then sell it as quickly as possible. She often stages homes so that potential buyers think, “I want to live here!” If acting as a buyer’s agent, her goal is to focus the search to your desired community, home size and amenities in the price range that best accommodates your budget. Every real estate transaction is unique and Dawn’s expertise is to guide you through the process while exceeding your expectations of service.

Growing up in the Midwest taught her to be modest, work hard, and that your word is your bond. It’s important to lend a helping hand and remember that your name and reputation are two of your most prized possessions. Gratitude for simple things, good health, love of family, friends and community and pulling together when needed are part of her values. Both her parents modeled a strong work ethic and she brings that same dedication to her work.
Dawn enjoys the real estate business because she loves working with people to accomplish a desired outcome and she cannot pass up a good challenge. She believes that client trust is earned one day at a time. Early in her real estate career she had a buyer and seller that wrote lovely notes to each other to be exchanged at closing. The seller also brought the buyer a house warming gift. It was truly a win-win situation. She remembers her coach telling her, “You’ll probably never see that again.” As an eternal optimist, Dawn thinks that the final outcome of every real estate transaction can be a win!

Dawn has been a volunteer for the American Red Cross and The Houston Council on Recovery. She is a member of The Guild of Houston Baptist University and has served as a board member for both Communities In Schools Houston and West Houston Hospital. She has designed and presented workshops on a number of topics and co-created two long-standing support groups in the community. In her spare time Dawn enjoys hiking, biking, weight lifting and spending time with her fiancé.
