Some wonder where Jan gets her energy. She credits her father for her business and work ethics. For years, he demonstrated how to be passionate, loyal, and dedicated to his family and career. Adding this work ethic together with Jan’s creativity and interest in what life has to offer, she excelled in high school, college and business.
Jan quickly rose through the sales ranks of a national cosmetic company to become a multiyear Million Dollar Producer. She managed a staff of 250 sales people and her territory stretched over 24 states. Jan was awarded #1 Sales Director in her first year. She also became the corporate trainer for new sales directors.
Early in Jan’s life, she developed a love for jewelry and she started creating her own designs as a hobby. She started selling her jewelry in trunk shows and eventually formed Thibodeaux Designs in 2000. Her custom jewelry was produced in Houston and sold nationally resulting in a million-dollar business. This wholesale company was featured in Glamour, Redbook, and the Houston Chronicle and was sold in 250 major retail stores, including Neiman Marcus, Dillard’s, Macy’s and Bergdorf’s. The business was sold to allow Jan to pursue her passion for real estate.
The love for real estate and working with people led to forming Pecan Classic Realty in 2007. Jan’s local knowledge and real estate expertise has helped propel the company to consecutive annual multimillion dollar residential sales since 2009. She has also expanded her real estate skills in commercial and residential leasing along with International Relocation Services.
In her free time, Jan enjoys playing golf courses all over the US many accompanied by her husband, Dr. Douglas Thibodeaux. In addition to golfing, Jan also enjoys traveling to new and familiar destinations. She is also an avid supporter of Fort Bend County Child Advocates, and Senior Meals on Wheels.
